We frequently subcontract expert consultants and associates. These facilitators are some of
the best in the field of experience-based training and organizational development. Most
have graduate degrees in organizational development or related fields. All bring expertise
from business, corporate, government and educational workplaces.
Robin Hammond has been providing marketing and sales services to Action Learning
Associates, Inc. since July 2005. She attended Purdue University and received her
Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison,
New Jersey. Robin previously worked at Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) analyzing
syndicated data to identify sales and marketing opportunities and measuring sales
results for several major manufacturers. She also provided computer software instruction,
and trained sales and marketing professionals to analyze their business using scanner data.
Prior to her work at IRI, Robin coordinated the professional marketing programs for several
brands at a healthcare advertising agency in New Jersey. In addition to her work for
Action Learning Associates, she is currently active in her community with youth sports
with her two boys and husband.
Robert P. Caldwell, Jr. helps his clients effectively analyze the workplace costs
and benefits of personal behavioral patterns. He coaches leaders and their teams on
identifying problematic behaviors, improving interactions with co-workers, framing
development strategies, and implementing those strategies in order to achieve their
goals and objectives. His executive coaching clients include senior leaders of Merck,
American Express, The Thomson Corporation, Corning, Wachovia, and Market Street Trust
Company, among others.
As a businessman with over 30 years of experience, including 15 years in his family-owned
textile business, Robert has also consulted many family business owners. He provides expert
guidance to family-owned and closely-held companies in the areas of succession planning,
leadership selection and development, corporate governance, organizational culture, and
conflict management strategies.
Robert received his B.A. in Political Science and Business from Wake Forest University and
an M.A. in Organizational Development/Psychology from Vermont College of Norwich University.
Since 2001, he has been the Babcock Family Business Fellow in the Babcock Graduate School of
Management, at Wake Forest University, NC. He is an active member of local colleges and
foundations. And for 18 years he served on the Gastonia, NC regional Board of Directors
of First Union National Bank. Robert plays a fine guitar and a mean round of golf.
Dr. Lorie Falk has provided psychotherapy, assessment, consulting and coaching services to youth
and adults for over 14 years. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the American
School of Professional Psychology in Arlington, Virginia and is a licensed psychologist in Maryland.
Lorie has worked with several schools, hospitals, private healthcare practices, pharmaceutical companies,
government and corporate organizations. She has presented research on positive behavioral strategies,
behavioral health, ADHD, anxiety, developmental and learning disabilities, and coping and compliance
with management of medical conditions. A significant focus of her work has included team consultation
and coaching. Additionally, Lorie is adjunct faculty to a national leadership organization as a
facilitator and coach. Also a fitness trainer, she has led groups in fitness classes, weight
management, and sports performance enhancement. As a volunteer with local organizations, she
assists in providing disaster relief, support for families and persons with disabilities, and
supports outdoor racing events. Her work is grounded in helping people discover and use their
ability to gain focus and clarity, take action, get desired results, and pay it forward - in
other words, make this cycle a habit in your own life and help others to do the same.
